Three teenage boys arrested after violent initiation ritual at Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket

A freshman initiation at the boarding school Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket turned violent last week, with participants allegedly forced to undress and beaten, while a stabbing-type instrument was present but not employed to cause harm. Several individuals, described as wearing robber masks, were said to lead the aggression, while others cheered. Following a large police operation, three 18-year-old males were arrested; two face accusations of sexual assault and aggravated unlawful coercion, and the third is charged with assault of normal degree and unlawful coercion.
All alleged crimes took place on the school premises, and three male victims under 18 are named in the case. The school’s head, Sofia Kinberg, expressed anger and sadness, suspended an unspecified number of students, and announced that the school will remain open for the remaining pupils.
