Thunderstorm and heavy rain warnings issued for parts of Terengganu and Sarawak
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting sections of Terengganu and Sarawak until 9 a.m. today.
MetMalaysia released a short-term alert covering Kemaman in Terengganu and several districts in Sarawak, including Sri Aman, Samarahan, Betong, Kapit, Sarikei, Mukah and Bintulu. The warning applies when rainfall exceeds 20 mm per hour for more than an hour. It remains in force until 9 a.m. and is limited to a maximum six-hour period.
