Tiffany Haddish receives probation after pleading guilty to Georgia traffic charge

Actor and comedian Tiffany Haddish avoided additional incarceration after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor alcohol-related driving charge linked to a 2022 incident in Peachtree City, Georgia. The case originated when a 911 caller reported a driver seemingly asleep at the wheel, leading police to stop Haddish's white Ford Explorer. After a video plea, the judge dismissed the remaining counts, granted her credit for time already spent in jail, and sentenced her to a year of probation with conditions to stay clear of drugs and alcohol and to complete a substance-abuse assessment.

Earlier attempts by her lawyers to dismiss the case on speedy-trial grounds were rejected, with the judge noting that Haddish had contributed to delays. The actress also faced a separate DUI-related incident in Beverly Hills, California, which was resolved through a plea deal in February 2024.
