Todd Clements trails Ashun Wu by one stroke after opening round at European Masters

England's Todd Clements sits one shot behind leader Ashun Wu after posting a six-under 64 in the first round of the Omega European Masters at Crans-Montana.

At the Omega European Masters in Crans-Montana, Ashun Wu recorded a first-round 63, featuring seven birdies and a flawless scorecard, to sit atop the leaderboard. Todd Clements posted a six-under 64, highlighted by six birdies and an eagle, leaving him just one shot behind Wu and tied for second with Nicolai von Dellingshausen, Shubhankar Sharma, Angel Ahora and Lawrence Thriston. Harry Hall and Jack Yule each carded a seven-under 65, keeping them two strokes off the lead.

Dan Bradbury, Paul Casey and Joshua Berry round out the English contingent in a tie for 25th with three-under 67, while Matt Wallace and Marco Penge sit one shot behind. Rasmus Hojgaard and his brother Nicolai both stand at two-under 68, five shots back. The remaining rounds will be broadcast live on one outlet Golf.
