Top Dortmund scout Sebastian Krug linked with moves to Premier League clubs

A group of Premier League and other European clubs are said to be exploring the possibility of appointing Sebastian Krug as their head of scouting, after his successful tenure at Borussia Dortmund. Krug played a central role in the acquisitions of Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, deals that have produced about £300 million in transfer income for Dortmund. He was also key in signing Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland and has cultivated a long-standing relationship with the Bellingham family, staying in frequent contact with their father, Mark Bellingham.

Senior figures at several of the Premier League's biggest clubs are believed to exchange views with Krug on talent identification and broader football developments. His influence is now being felt in Italy as well, where he has helped recruit promising young Serie A players. After nearly ten years in Dortmund’s recruitment department, speculation suggests his next career step could involve moving abroad, potentially to a Premier League outfit.
