Top Turkish officials and US investors convene at New York investment forum
Turkey's 19th Investment Conference opened in New York with senior government leaders and major US investors discussing the country's economic outlook and sector opportunities.
Citi opened one outlet Turkey Investment Conference in New York on September 21, bringing together high-level Turkish policymakers and leading US investors. Participants included Mehmet Şimşek, Fatih Karahan, DEİK President Nail Olpak, TAİK Chairman Murat Özyeğin and Citi’s Stephanie von Friedeburg. The roundtable focused on Turkey's medium- and long-term economic outlook, emphasizing recent productivity improvements and price stability.
Discussions highlighted the country's robust production base, strategic geography, transport links and access to regional markets. Investment prospects were outlined for high-value sectors such as green and digital transformation, advanced manufacturing, defense, aerospace, healthcare, health tourism, logistics and digital tech. Trade Minister Ömer Bolat noted that the United States ranks as Turkey's third-largest export market and fourth-largest source of imports, with bilateral trade exceeding $38 billion last year.
