A Toronto-area jeweler identified as Rolan Sokolovski has consented to an early U.S. extradition after being charged with laundering hundreds of millions of dollars for Ryan Wedding's purported cocaine network. Appearing in a downtown Toronto courtroom, Sokolovski's attorney emphasized that the consent is not an admission of wrongdoing. Prosecutors claim the Lithuanian-born businessman operated as a "de facto bank," using his shop Diamond Tsar, cryptocurrency services, and his aliases Sushi and Applepie to move illicit funds and purchase luxury assets, including an ultra-rare $13-million Mercedes CLK-GTR Roadster.
He is also accused of crafting a jeweled necklace for Montreal-based hitman Atna Ohna as a reward for a murder. Held without bail at Maplehurst jail, Sokolovski now awaits a decision from Canada’s federal justice minister on formal surrender to U.S. authorities. The case follows a broader crackdown that has seen other figures such as Gursewak Singh Bal and Deepak Paradkar face extradition hearings and U.S. federal charges.
