Toronto mayoral hopeful Brad Bradford deploys AI-driven app to auto-generate supporter comments
Brad Bradford’s campaign is using the Israeli-built Victory App, which creates AI-written Instagram comments for supporters to copy and post, rewarding them with points.
Brad Bradford’s mayoral campaign has adopted the Victory App, an AI-based platform created by Israeli firm LogiVote, to direct supporters to post tailored pro-Brad comments on Instagram and X. The app generates a distinct message for each user, who must copy-paste it and then receives points after the system confirms the post. Campaign officials argue the tool simply streamlines the distribution of talking points, while experts warn it creates “cyborg propaganda” that masks automated influence as genuine grassroots speech.
LogiVote, which also serves clients in Israel and Georgia, promotes the service as a “digital civilian patrol” that avoids bot detection. The app’s rollout includes gamified rewards and contact-profiling features, raising privacy concerns that are still under investigation. No provincial law currently bans AI-generated political content, and platform policies on coordinated inauthentic behavior are being reviewed.
Why it matters
The use of AI-generated political messaging raises questions about transparency, voter manipulation and privacy in Canadian elections.
