Toronto mayoral poll shows Chow's advantage shrink to single digits
A new Liaison Strategies poll indicates incumbent Olivia Chow leads challenger Brad Bradford by only seven points, down from an eleven-point margin.
Liaison Strategies conducted an IVR poll of 1,000 Toronto residents between September 19 and 20, revealing that incumbent mayor Olivia Chow holds 47 % support compared with 40 % for challenger Brad Bradford, a drop from an earlier eleven-point lead. Third-place candidate Chris Alexander remains at 10 %. The study, weighted to the 2021 Census, shows the race tightening after the first mayoral debate hosted by the Daily Bread Food Bank.
Chow leads in downtown and North York, while Bradford is ahead in Etobicoke, with North York and Scarborough identified as the most competitive districts. Voters prioritize cost of living, housing affordability, crime, safety and congestion ahead of the Oct. 26, 2026 municipal election.
