Toronto police seek mother accused of taking three children during semi-supervised visit
Toronto police are searching for 22-year-old Somerda Miclescu, who allegedly fled with her three children during a semi-supervised visitation.
On Friday at about 11:30 a.m., Toronto Police were dispatched to a call reporting a parental abduction in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue East and Midland Avenue. Investigators allege that during a semi-supervised visit, 22-year-old Somerda Miclescu took her three children—4-month-old Anastasia, 3-year-old Irina and 6-year-old Daniel—and left the property. The mother does not hold legal custody of the children and is described as 5’7″, roughly 180 lb, with long dark hair, wearing a long black skirt and a dark top.
Police think she is traveling in a 2017 white Ford Expedition bearing the Ontario licence plate DJJS 875, but her location is still unknown. A nearby Children’s Aid Society building was observed by police cruisers, though no Amber Alert has been activated. Officers are urging anyone with information to contact the Toronto police tip line.
