Tottenham ends Chelsea's six-game derby streak with 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge

Tottenham beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, snapping Chelsea's six-match winning run in the rivalry and securing Tottenham's first victory there since 2018.

Tottenham defeated Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, breaking the Blues’ six-match streak in their London derby and marking Tottenham’s first triumph at the venue since April 2018. The opening goal arrived in the 76th minute when Chelsea’s temporary goalkeeper Mike Penders, covering for the injured Emiliano Martinez, mishandled a corner that rolled into his own net. The match grew tense after Chelsea’s Cole Palmer received a yellow card, then a second yellow and a red for a foul on Conor Gallagher.

Four minutes later, French forward Mathys Tel scored a solo strike to make it 2-0. Both sides created chances in the first half, with Jordan Henderson and Omar Marmoush featuring prominently, while the keepers made several saves. The result lifts Tottenham toward the league’s middle with nine points from eight games, leaving Chelsea in the bottom quarter with thirteen points.

Why it matters

The win improves Tottenham’s league position and halts Chelsea’s recent dominance in the London derby.
