Tour de France 2027 route unveiled with Scottish start and Paris finish

The Tour de France 2027 route was revealed, featuring a departure from Scotland and a finale on the Champs-Elysées.

The sixth edition of the Tour de France Femmes will start abroad for the second time, launching from Leeds and heading to Manchester before a second stage to Sheffield that features roughly 3,000 m of climbing. A team time trial will take place in London, after which the peloton will ride from Le Touquet to Calais and continue through Neufchâtel-en-Bray, Magnanville, Orléans, Bourges, Nevers, La Loge des Gardes, La Bourboule, and Clermont-Ferrand.

The final stage will summit the Puy-de-Dôme, adding the race to the list of iconic climbs previously tackled by the men's Tour. Marion Rousse expressed enthusiasm for the growing international profile, and Christian Prudhomme said the mountain finish will bring female riders to historic peaks. The total distance before official approval stands at 1,156 km.
