Invited as part of a broader initiative to market iconic American sites, Adams emphasized the administration’s strong affinity for sports, citing President Trump’s personal interest and the Secretary of State’s support. He pointed to recent global attention from the World Cup and the NFL’s overseas games as momentum for promoting the Hall to international audiences.
Hall of Fame officials, including Anne Graffice, detailed an upcoming expansion that will add a 100,000-square-foot water park and several restaurants to the Hall of Fame Village by March. The venue currently ranks 17th among 52 visitor origins, with the highest numbers coming from Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois, Texas and Michigan. Adams pledged to arrange meetings to further the museum’s outreach, while Rich Desrosiers expressed gratitude for the envoy’s visit and its potential to highlight the sport’s cultural values.
