Tourist guide killed in knife attack near Amer Fort, locals protest

Manish Soni, who worked as a guide for tourists, was fatally injured after a knife-wielding assault during a disagreement over a jeep's passage toward Amer Fort. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. near Maotha, where Soni tried to stop vehicles from moving forward. The confrontation escalated, and the attacker struck Soni in the abdomen, causing critical injuries.

He was rushed to SMS Hospital but succumbed to his wounds. Police detained the jeep driver, Azam, and his companion, Nazish, following the attack. The local community responded by closing shops in the Amer area and staging a protest outside the police station, calling for decisive action against those involved.
