Trader Joe’s said it will add three new locations in California - Clairemont, Encinitas and Riverbank - though opening dates have not been set.
Trader Joe’s confirmed that three new California stores will soon join its network, with sites slated for Clairemont-San Diego, Leucadia in Encinitas and Riverbank near Modesto. The company’s website currently displays only a “Coming Soon!” message and says further information will be posted later. According to a spokesperson, the chain usually lists new locations on its site between three and six months before they open.
These additions are part of a nationwide expansion that has already announced over two dozen new outlets, including a recent opening in Paso Robles. Other upcoming sites include locations in Anaheim Hills, Tucson, Herriman and Seattle. The announcement raises expectations for local hiring, though the firm has not disclosed job numbers or exact opening dates.
Why it matters
New Trader Joe’s stores could create local jobs and expand grocery options for nearby residents.
