Train ferry evacuates after hazardous cargo leak en route to Sweden
A Stena Lines train ferry traveling from Rostock to Trelleborg was evacuated after a dangerous-goods leak from a cargo train, with four crew members taken to hospital.
The vessel, operating between Germany and Sweden, detected a leak of a hazardous liquid from a train on its cargo deck on Wednesday afternoon. Rescue teams responded and the ferry was emptied. Four members of the crew were exposed to the substance and were transported to a hospital for observation. More than 200 passengers were on board at the time.
