Train services across Eastern Norway heavily reduced amid driver strike

On Wednesday, Vy reported that 169 train departures were cancelled across the Østlandet region after 46 locomotive drivers began a strike on Friday morning. The strike follows failed negotiations between the Norsk lokomotivførerforbund and Vy. The most disrupted service is the R23 route between Oslo S and Ski, where 43 of 65 scheduled trips were cancelled.
Additional cancellations occurred on lines L1 (31 trips), L2 (3 trips), R13 (31 trips), R21 (13 trips), R22 (16 trips), RE10 (24 trips), RE11 (1 trip) and RE20 (7 trips). Vy advises travelers to monitor the Vy app or its website for real-time information as the industrial action persists.
