The incident occurred in the early hours near the airport, causing the overhead line to break and halting trains on the Cegléd corridor. Passengers must now endure longer travel times and use substitute buses between Kőbánya-Kispest and Vecsés. Early morning trains from Szeged run only as far as Cegléd, while InterCity services operate between Cegléd and Szeged. Other regional services are being rerouted via the Újszászi line, with some trains skipping stops between Szolnok and Budapest's Western Station.
