Tricog Health sets goal of 100 million cardiac screenings by 2030
Tricog Health aims to reach 100 million cardiac screenings by 2030, having already screened over 41 million and now processing more than a million tests each month worldwide.
Tricog Health, a Bengaluru-based health-technology company founded in 2014, announced a goal of completing 100 million cardiac screenings by 2030. To date the firm has screened more than 41 million patients and now conducts over a million screenings each month worldwide. CEO Dr Charit Bhograj explained that Tricog’s platform merges medical-grade artificial intelligence, connected ECG devices and specialist clinical oversight to provide rapid cardiac diagnoses.
After launching public-health collaborations with the Goa government in 2018, the company expanded its reach to Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Bihar, Karnataka, Manipur and to 14 Global South countries including the Philippines, Malaysia and Kenya. Its AI-driven ECG unit, Tricog VCardia, encrypts data and uploads it to a cloud algorithm that identifies over 140 heart conditions, after which a team of about 120 doctors reviews each case and returns a final report within six minutes.
Using a hub-and-spoke network linking community clinics to tertiary hospitals, treatment waiting times that once averaged six hours in urban India have fallen to less than half an hour. The initiative aligns with projections that cardiovascular disease will remain India’s leading cause of death well beyond 2050.
Why it matters
Scaling rapid, AI-assisted cardiac screening could dramatically reduce preventable heart deaths in India and similar low-resource settings.
