Truck collision on Uttar Pradesh highway kills two sisters after Raksha Bandhan celebration

A speeding truck struck a motorcycle near Bilampur in Etawah, killing sisters Nisha Kumari and Aashi and injuring three others, including a six-month-old infant.

After celebrating Raksha Bandhan, a Madhya Pradesh family traveling toward the Etawah railway station was involved in a fatal crash on a highway near Bilampur turn. Neeraj Goyal was operating a motorcycle overloaded with four passengers when a truck traveling at high speed collided with it, throwing Nisha Kumari and her sister Aashi onto the road where they were pronounced dead at the scene. The impact injured Ayush Goyal, Neeraj Goyal and a six-month-old infant named Shivansh, who later received primary treatment and was discharged.

Emergency responders rushed to the site, moved the injured to a local hospital, and the authorities have dispatched teams to locate the truck driver, who abandoned the vehicle and fled. Etawah senior superintendent of police Brijesh Kumar Srivastava confirmed that the bodies will undergo post-mortem analysis while the investigation to apprehend the driver continues.
