Truck crashes into crane and auto-rickshaw at Delhi CCTV site, killing three

Early Sunday morning, a dumper truck traveling from Noida collided with a crane and an auto-rickshaw parked at a Delhi Traffic Police CCTV installation site on Road Number 13 in Sarita Vihar. The crash, reported at about 3.20 am, resulted in the deaths of three men: Suraj, the human-resources manager for the CCTV project, and two local residents, Umesh (23) and Praveen (35). Six individuals sustained injuries; among them were Aakash (20), Anup (26) and Khem Singh (40), while Sudhir, who was also present, was not harmed.

Deputy commissioner Vineet Kumar said the truck, bearing a Haryana registration, was left at the scene and its driver escaped. Authorities have identified the vehicle’s owner as Sagar Bhadana of Khakri village, Faridabad, and are working to locate the driver. The truck and related vehicles have been seized for forensic examination.
