Trump administration lifts NDA rules as Harvard physicist leads new UAP advisory council

In a recent memorandum, Aaron Lukas announced that nondisclosure agreements covering UAP information will be waived for government employees and contractors who speak with the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office or the PURSUE system. The order, aligned with presidential direction, requires intelligence agencies to appoint representatives to facilitate the sharing of data. Harvard physicist Avi Loeb has been named chair of the UAP Science Advisory Council, describing the role as a "kid in a candy store" for scientific inquiry.

He argues that opening the data could reveal whether observed objects are adversary drones, classified projects, or potentially non-human technology, and urges a budget increase to match the defense spending scale. Loeb also remarks that extraterrestrials, if they arrived, would likely be indifferent to who leads the United States, emphasizing the need for a measured, evidence-based response. The initiative reflects a shift from previous secrecy toward collaborative scientific investigation of aerial anomalies.
