Trump aide caught on video handling vibrator after Mar-a-Lago gala
A deputy assistant to President Donald Trump was recorded drunkenly playing with a sex toy on a yacht following a children’s hospital benefit at Mar-a-Lago.
A recording captured Lynne Patton, a deputy assistant who served in both of Donald Trump’s administrations, handling a small purple vibrator on a yacht after the Night of the Dragon gala benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at Mar-a-Lago. The video, taken by lobbyist Ryan Coyne, shows Patton, 52, slurring her words, requesting not to be filmed, and repeatedly urging participants to "start again" as the toy is tossed across the carpet.
Patton is seen in a gold cocktail dress, though her face is not visible. Coyne, who often accompanies Patton to events, is heard encouraging the game and kicking the device toward her. When approached for comment, a White House spokesperson said Patton consults with White House Counsel to maintain ethical standards and is responsible for her own residences. The incident occurred on the night of Feb. 6, 2025, the same evening the gala was held by Curetivity, formerly the Eric Trump Foundation.
Why it matters
The video raises questions about the conduct of senior political staffers and their adherence to ethical guidelines.
