Trump aide Dan Scavino posts angry X message targeting unknown leaker

White House personnel chief Dan Scavino posted a profanity-filled rant on X, condemning an unnamed leaker and urging them to stop seeking media coverage.

Dan Scavino, chief of the White House Presidential Personnel Office, used X to publish a profanity-rich tirade aimed at an unspecified leaker, urging the person to stop courting media outlets and accept the outcome. The post, made at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, accused the target of spreading falsehoods and warned them to "take the L" and move on. FBI Director Kash Patel replied with praise, calling the move a "Boss Move" and labeling Scavino a legend.

Later, Scavino uploaded an Instagram story featuring a selfie with the FBI chief at Joe’s Seafood, a venue across from the White House in Washington, D.C. The White House declined to comment when approached for a statement. The episode occurs amid the administration’s broader effort to curb leaks, though observers remain uncertain about the intended recipient.

Why it matters

It shows internal tensions over leaks and the administration's aggressive response to perceived whistleblowers.
