Additional D.C. construction efforts involve a 250-foot triumphal arch near Arlington Memorial Cemetery and a revamped Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. An Ipsos poll in July indicated that 65 % of voters disapprove of the construction push, with many seeing it as a self-serving display before the upcoming midterm elections.
