He emphasized his opposition to wind farms and suggested that any country relying on green energy would become bankrupt. In the same speech, he referred to French President Emmanuel Macron as a “nice guy” and threatened steep tariffs on French imports if their pharmaceutical companies did not lower U.S. prices.
Trump also attacked Muslim politician Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for the Senate, calling him a radical jihadist. The remarks came ahead of the upcoming U.S. congressional elections, where a third of Senate seats and the entire House will be contested.
