Trump Media pushes politically themed ETFs amid steep stock decline and user loss

Trump Media & Technology Group is launching Truth Social-branded ETFs while its share price has plunged and daily users have sharply fallen.

Trump Media & Technology Group announced a suite of exchange-traded funds carrying the Truth Social brand, aimed at investors aligned with its political perspective. Yorkville America chief Steve Neamtz said the funds will concentrate on industries deemed critical to the American economy, such as energy and security, while excluding companies perceived as prioritizing social causes over profit. Market analysts warn that tying investment decisions to ideology makes the products unattractive to most investors, especially as the firm’s financial health worsens.

Since its March 2024 IPO, TMTG’s stock has fallen about 80%, its valuation dropped from $6 billion to roughly $1 billion, and it posted a $712.3 million loss in 2025, largely from digital-asset write-downs. Daily active users on the Truth Social mobile app declined from over 436,000 to about 261,000 year-over-year, and the PublicSquare marketplace has lost nearly all its value. Nevertheless, Neamtz remains upbeat, planning to promote the ETFs through podcasts and social media.

Why it matters

The move illustrates how a politically branded media firm is seeking finance market footholds despite severe financial and user-base declines.
