Trump Media stock slides over 8% ahead of earnings report
Trump Media shares fell more than 8% to $9.39 on Monday, wiping out two weeks of gains just before the company’s earnings release.
On Monday, Trump Media’s stock dropped over 8% to $9.39, erasing gains accumulated over the prior two weeks. The price remains above the July trough of roughly $7 per share. The firm has not added any new revenue drivers, keeping its reliance on a weak advertising stream that generated $3.7 million in the prior year.
A loss of $712 million was recorded last year, largely from unrealized losses and digital-asset investments. Monthly visitors to Truth Social have fallen 36% from a year earlier, with the platform averaging 28 million visits in early 2025. The recently introduced Truth API, priced up to $100,000 a month for premium access, could bolster the limited revenue base. Overall, the stock’s performance seems disconnected from underlying business metrics, reflecting investor concerns ahead of the earnings announcement.
Why it matters
The drop highlights the volatility of a high-profile media stock that relies on limited advertising and new subscription services.
