Trump posts altered video making King Charles appear to ignore fainting worker
Donald Trump shared a trimmed clip on Truth Social that shows King Charles seeming to walk away as an Asda employee collapses, while the full footage shows the monarch assisting the worker.
Donald Trump uploaded a three-minute video to his Truth Social account that contains a doctored excerpt of a six-year-old clip from an Asda distribution centre in Bristol. The shortened version makes King Charles look as if he placed his hand in his pocket and walked away after an employee fainted. The original footage reveals that Charles actually attempted to catch the worker, remained close as the employee received medical attention, and later thanked by the employee.
The post was shared on U.S. Labor Day and claims to show “the side of Trump the media doesn’t show.” The King’s visit to the depot was originally described by Asda as a celebration of key workers during the pandemic.
