Officials familiar with the president say he has repeatedly floated the notion of moving reporters out of the White House, even exploring relocation to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. His aide Natalie Harp, who helped craft earlier media bans, is reported to have supplied the clip that sparked the latest outburst. Historically, the room was a pool for Franklin D. Roosevelt before being converted into a briefing space by Richard Nixon and later reshaped under Ronald Reagan.
