Trump’s approval falls below 30%, lowest level since Bush in 2008
A new American Research Group poll shows Donald Trump’s overall approval at 29%, the first time it has dropped below 30% across both of his terms.
American Research Group’s poll, fielded between Sept. 16 and 20, recorded Donald Trump’s overall approval at 29%, the first sub-30% reading in his two White House terms. Disapproval rose to 68%, a two-point increase from the previous month, while only 26% expressed a positive view of the economy. A sharp 71% condemned his economic management, and 72% believe the nation’s economy is deteriorating amid rising fuel and food costs.
Just 6% expect economic improvement over the next year. Historically, the only comparable dip occurred for President George W. Bush at the end of 2008, according to Gallup’s tracking. Trump’s average approval across both terms hovers around 41%, with a 34% rating when he left the White House the first time.
