Campaign strategist Alfredo Rodriguez said the rising fuel costs are a “real concern” that will influence voter decisions with only 56 days left before the election.

Senate Republican Roger Marshall highlighted the impact on his Kansas constituents, noting diesel now costs $5.51 a gallon, $2 higher than a year ago. Economic advisers, including Stephen Moore and Abby Yoder, linked the price surge to potential Federal Reserve rate hikes, which the administration cannot easily prevent. Options like banning oil exports have been ruled out by Energy Secretary Chris Wright, leaving the White House with “no clear way” to curb the trend.
