TUMI expands into everyday fashion with luxury Adatto line amid $19 billion luggage market
TUMI has launched the handcrafted Adatto collection for women, moving beyond travel bags to capture everyday fashion spending in the $19 billion global luggage market.
TUMI introduced the Adatto collection, a hand-crafted, Italy-made line that broadens its women’s offering beyond traditional travel gear. The brand now carries more than 230 products for U.S. women, with the Voyageur series alone exceeding 100 items, spanning nylon, leather, Tegris and aluminium. Prices range from a $495 backpack to $2,695 for the McLaren luggage series, targeting younger consumers who prefer an accessible entry point before investing in high-end suitcases.
TUMI is leveraging everyday bags to stay relevant between journeys, expanding airport retail in cities like Seoul, Bangkok, Jakarta and Mumbai, and offering extensive personalization such as monogramming. Partnerships with figures such as McLaren driver Lando Norris, footballer Son Heung-min and singer Gracie Abrams reinforce the brand’s mobility-focused image.
