Turkish police seize 20 suspected FETÖ infiltrators in coordinated raids across six provinces

In a coordinated operation directed from Istanbul, Turkish police detained 20 individuals suspected of serving the Gülenist Terror Group’s (FETÖ) infiltration of law-enforcement agencies. The raids, executed by the Anti-Smuggling Crimes Branch and overseen by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, hit 21 addresses in six provinces. Investigators relied on an encrypted database supplied by a former insider codenamed “Garson,” which was decoded by the National Intelligence Organization after six years.

The evidence linked the suspects to the group’s covert communication methods, bank accounts at the defunct Bank Asya, and supervisory positions within the alleged infiltrated police network. Among those arrested are five active public employees, three dismissed civil servants and twelve private-sector workers. The operation follows broader efforts that have uncovered thousands of alleged FETÖ infiltrators in the Turkish National Police since the 2016 coup attempt.
