Turkish solo F-16 team returns to Ostrava for high-G NATO air show
Turkish demonstration squad led by Murat Bakici arrived in the Czech Republic with two F-16 fighters, a spare, and an A400M transport to perform at the NATO Days air show in Ostrava.
After touching down at Mošnov Airport, the Turkish solo demonstration team, under the leadership of Murat Bakici, brought two operational F-16 Block 40 fighters, a reserve aircraft, and an A400M Atlas transport to Ostrava for the NATO Days and Czech Air Force Days events. Their 18-20 minute act will present roughly 20 high-intensity maneuvers, ranging from speeds of 220 km/h to near-supersonic, with some figures executed as low as 30 metres above ground and subjecting pilots to up to 9 G. A signature “Dolphin” maneuver creates an optical illusion of the jet gliding like a marine mammal. The display is free to attend and will be joined by the Slovak F-16 demonstration and Greece’s F-16 Demo Team Zeus, underscoring the operational capability of these combat aircraft.
