Turning 30, a San Francisco tech worker reshapes fitness and lands first real-estate deal

Dustin Chaveleh, a 30-year-old former tech employee in San Francisco, revamped his workout and diet, which boosted his confidence and helped him close his first real-estate transaction.

Dustin Chaveleh, recently single and approaching his 30th birthday, felt trapped in a sedentary tech lifestyle that left him exhausted and unmotivated. Seeking change, he partnered with a remote trainer from Enaz Fitness in autumn 2025, setting a protein target of roughly one gram per pound and a flexible calorie goal, allowing occasional social drinking. He switched from lengthy, fragmented gym sessions to 45-minute full-body workouts using progressive overload, which doubled his bicep curl weight, added over 40 pounds to his squat, and lowered his resting heart rate from 68 to 58 beats per minute.

The streamlined fitness plan freed time for networking at parks, hikes, and run clubs in San Francisco, where fitness is a social currency. Leveraging these new connections, he accelerated his residential sales licensing and, in early June, closed his inaugural real-estate deal. Chaveleh credits the physical transformation for the confidence to pursue his long-desired career.
