Marking the anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s killing at Utah Valley University, Andrew Kolvet reflected on a year marked by tragedy and unexpected challenges for Turning Point USA. He said the organization had to resist the pull of grief while confronting a wave of conspiracy theories that followed the assassination. Kolvet recounted anecdotes from students across the country who credit Kirk’s influence for their activism, illustrating the group’s sustained grassroots energy.
He praised Erika Kirk, who assumed the CEO role per a succession plan, for uniting staff and donors and averting organizational disintegration. Under her direction, the network reported an "almost 200% growth" in Club American high-school chapters, now exceeding 3,500, and a rise to over 1,500 college chapters, far beyond Kirk’s original expectations. Church partnerships also tripled, reaching 12,000. Kolvet concluded that the group’s resilience demonstrates the lasting impact of Kirk’s mission.
