TV farmer Jon Almaas condemns police after burglary at his farm

Jon Almaas, known from the TVNorge program “Jon blir bonde,” disclosed that his Brårud farm suffered a burglary in which valuable electrical equipment was taken from the barn. His neighbour, Lars Finskud, reported a similar incident at his own farm. Almaas criticized the police for not performing a thorough on-site investigation, stating he could not understand the lack of action.

The local police department responded that they must constantly evaluate where patrols are needed and that each case is assessed for the necessity of filing a report or preserving evidence. A senior officer, Hege C. Kvam, said they trust the judgments made in each situation and that limited patrol capacity sometimes restricts immediate response.
