Two additional men charged in murder case of Bahrs Scrub house-party victim
Police have arrested two more men, aged 18 and 19, and charged them with murder in the death of 21-year-old Jongkuch Kur Jongkuch after a chaotic house party in Bahrs Scrub.
A 21-year-old man, Jongkuch Kur Jongkuch, was found unconscious with critical head trauma on Orchard Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. on July 26, following an out-of-control house party in Bahrs Scrub, Logan. He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in critical condition and later died on August 1. Police initially charged eight teenagers aged 17 to 19 in August, followed by a 17-year-old from Inala in September.
Today, two further men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested in Eagle Farm and Goodna and charged with murder, raising the total number of people charged to eleven. The men are scheduled to appear in court on Friday. Authorities have acknowledged the support of local residents and community leaders in the ongoing investigation.
