Two additional suspects detained in Isla Cristina narco-related triple murder
Spanish police arrested two more men suspected of shooting a pregnant woman, her mother and a teenager in Isla Cristina, raising the total arrests to five.
In a coordinated operation, Guardia Civil specialists stormed a rural property in Huelva province and took two additional men into custody for their alleged role in the Isla Cristina massacre. The August 16 shooting, carried out by masked gunmen on a motorbike, left a pregnant 39-year-old woman, her 69-year-old mother and a 16-year-old bystander dead, while two others were injured. The latest arrests bring the total number of suspects to five, after three were detained earlier in the week.
Police deployed more than 80 agents, dogs and a helicopter, seizing a gun, nearly €30,000, bullet-proof vests and paperwork linking the men to a narco gang. Each suspect now faces four murder counts, including the unborn child, and charges of belonging to a criminal organization. The investigation remains ongoing.
