Two Army soldiers killed in ambush on Maguindanao del Norte highway
Two members of the Army’s 7th Infantry Battalion were shot dead while riding a motorcycle on the Davao-Cotabato highway in Maguindanao del Norte.
On Wednesday evening, two soldiers from the Army’s 7th Infantry Battalion were ambushed on the Davao-Cotabato national highway in the Barnagay Ladia area of Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte. Private First Class Jobert C Labuson and Private First Class Johnmark C Dumaguing, both serving in Bravo Company, were riding a tandem motorcycle to a store when suspects on another motorbike opened fire at about 6:10 p.m. The men were rushed to Cotabato Regional and Medical Center in Cotabato City, where they were declared dead on arrival.
Police investigators found empty.45 pistol casings at the site, but have not yet identified the gunmen or established a motive. The incident w.
