Two Bihar teachers dismissed after FIR alleges sexual assault and video blackmail

The Bihar education department dismissed two government teachers in Buxar district after an FIR alleged they sexually assaulted a female student and recorded the incident. The accused teachers are identified as assistant teacher Birendra Pal and middle school teacher Arvind Kumar, both of whom were suspended on September 2 before being removed from service. The complaint, filed by the victim’s mother on September 3, also claims the teachers used the videos to threaten and blackmail the girl.

Headmaster Mohammad Imam Ali Ansari is accused of shielding the teachers and has been arrested. Police detained Arvind Kumar earlier, and Birendra Pal was apprehended on September 7 at Buxar railway station while allegedly trying to flee. Education minister Mithilesh Tiwari ordered the case to be fast-tracked in court.
