In the early hours of Wednesday, two British brothers on holiday in the Palma municipality of Calvia were detained following a brutal assault on a taxi driver at a rank on Passeig Mar in Palmanova. The 31-year-old and his 21-year-old brother, both described as intoxicated, first harassed two female drivers before confronting a male driver who refused them service. The older sibling spat on the driver and delivered a punch, while a bystander who intervened was hit in the face.
The victim suffered a bloodied face and lost several teeth.
