Two children and a woman injured on a Rotherham fairground ride
An 11-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 21-year-old woman were hurt while on a ride at Maltby Crags Fair in Rotherham and taken to hospital.
South Yorkshire Police reported that an 11-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 21-year-old woman were injured on a fairground attraction at Maltby Crags Fair in Rotherham on Thursday night. Yorkshire Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances and three rapid-response vehicles, and the victims were taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital for care. The incident prompted the temporary closure of the fairground for the evening and a short shutdown of Blyth Lane between Muglet Lane and Victoria Road to facilitate safe egress.
The road has since been reopened. Police and ambulance crews remained on scene until the situation was under control.
