Two Civil Guard officers wounded in Terrassa gunfire after chase of vehicle thieves
A police pursuit in Terrassa ended with gunfire that injured two Civil Guard officers, one of whom was hit by four bullets but is expected to survive.
During a police operation in Terrassa, agents from the Civil Guard pursued a gang of “teloneros” known for hijacking transport vehicles along the AP-7 corridor. The pursuit shifted onto city streets in the southern district of Can Perallada, where the suspects fired at the police convoy. Two Civil Guard members were hit; one was struck by four projectiles and is in a serious but stable condition, while the other sustained lighter injuries.
The Mossos d'Esquadra have acknowledged the incident but have not released full details pending the investigation. The region-wide Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) has assumed responsibility for the inquiry and deployed additional personnel to the scene.
