Two contract killers receive 34-year sentences for Melbourne underworld murder
Jaeden Tito and Rabii Zahabe were each sentenced to 34 years in prison for the daylight killing of underworld figure Gavin Preston outside a Keilor café.
The court handed down 34-year prison terms to 25-year-old Jaeden Tito and 26-year-old Rabii Zahabe for the September 9, 2023 shooting of Gavin "Capable" Preston at Sweet Lulu’s café in Keilor, Melbourne. The attack also wounded Preston’s associate AJ Maghnie. A jury convicted the pair of murder and attempted murder in May, though their lawyers claim they were not the actual shooters. The identity of the person who commissioned the hit remains unknown.
