Two elderly men arrested in Miami raid uncover cocaine, marijuana and firearms

After an undercover agent bought a $60 bag of cocaine from 73-year-old Magdalino Medina at his trailer on August 19, police launched a raid on the residence on Wednesday at 3 p.m., deploying a SWAT team. The search uncovered 141 grams of cocaine and 1,278 grams of marijuana, each packaged in small bags, as well as a Smith & Wesson.38 revolver and a Sig R365 9mm handgun, both accompanied by ammunition. Authorities noted that the revolver had been reported stolen from another county and the 9mm pistol had been reported in Doral.

Both Medina and 89-year-old Cesar Valdes were arrested, booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, and charged with armed cocaine trafficking and grand theft of a firearm. The men, both born in Cuba, are being held on an immigration hold and are represented by the Miami-Dade County Public Defender's Office.
