Two fatalities confirmed after ultralight aircraft crashes in Croatia's Paklenica mountains

Rescue teams discovered an ultralight plane wreck and two dead occupants in Paklenica National Park, Croatia, late Friday.

A small aircraft traveling from the Czech Republic lost its signal around 4 p.m., prompting an alert from air traffic control. Search crews located the crash site near the mountainous area of Paklenica National Park about 60 km northeast of Zadar. The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service and police confirmed the wreckage and two fatalities at roughly 10 p.m. on Friday. Authorities have not released the victims' nationalities and plan to secure the site for an on-site investigation on Saturday.
