Two fatalities reported after small aircraft crashes near Hesperia, California

On Thursday morning, a small aircraft crashed in the desert area of Hesperia, located north of Lake Arrowhead in California. The impact site was off Summit Valley Road, where the front of the plane was found severely damaged. Emergency personnel, including the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, arrived quickly to the scene. Two occupants of the aircraft were pronounced dead. Authorities have opened an investigation, but the exact reason for the crash remains unknown at this time.
