Two Finnish nationals linked to sales of electronics used in Russian war hardware

Investigations reveal that two Finnish citizens supplied electronic components to companies that equip Russia's military, including missile and drone systems.

Authorities have identified two Finnish citizens who provided electronic parts to firms that support Russia's armed forces, enabling the use of those components in missiles, glide bombs, drones and combat aircraft. Denis Emelianov, a businessman born in the former Soviet Union, owns PT Technology Asia, a Hong Kong-registered company that has exported electronics to Russia for a sum of several million euros. Emelianov maintains that the shipments were solely for civilian applications and rejects accusations of violating EU sanctions.

The other supplier, a neighbor from Luumäe, runs AK Technology out of Serbia, delivering comparable equipment to Russia for a comparable monetary value. He says the company was opened at the request of a Russian associate, Dmitri Popov, and claims he is unaware of who manages its operations. Both men assert the products were not intended for military use.
